The New York Times recently published an article about various climate change tipping points. Anthony Watts, a climate change denier, then published a blogpost calling the article “nothing more than speculation.” In this video I want to put these claims into perspective.

The main problem with predicting the tipping points is that you essentially need to describe and model a small difference between very large values (Energy input vs. outflow). Even a small mistake in modelling one of these values results in a completely different result on the difference.
Obviously it goes in both directions, a small deviation may mean that we start discussing a tipping point that isn’t one, or utterly overlook one that is actually quite important. Or the same with the timing.

Can you give some examples of tipping points that have occurred in history?
Because its been a lot hotter and a lot colder than now.

What's crazy is that you you've come to the realization that science has a broken incentive structure in your specific field, but you can't imagine that it exists in other fields which are infinitely more politicized. Manbearpig is al gore. Climategate came out 15 years ago. If you can't see the bias by now, it's because of your own internalized bias.

look economics is a higher force for peoples behavior than climate this is a fact people dont care if they did their demand for environmental change would be priced and supplied green products cost more to produce therefore the price is higher and people want to buy cheap goods simple if you want actual change you need a global unanimous decision which wont happen better to prepare for climate catastrophes to prevent damage than wasting time
There is always lots of tipping points when there's lot of money to be made

Climate Sciences really ARE at a tipping 💵 point! 😢It’s time Climate Science became one of those sciences and degrees that UNDERGRADS CAN NOT GET !!! It should only be available as a graduate and doctoral degree and the only people allowed in should be those that have, at least, a chemistry 🧪 degree with all As, and a physics minor with good grades!

Sabine you must know that mere 8kya florida and others were exactly like shown in that part of this video of yours. 2ky after, the seas receded almost to the present coast lines (and 2ky before, Doggerland still existed). "CO2" levels along those 4-5ky were way below today's, everything naturally happening as a good chaotic system must behave. We're in an interstadial, while the long rule is coldness. At every final period of interstadials along last 800ky there had abrupt warming (yeah, a tipping point, short – mere some 2-3 millenia). Hence, here is an actual major, driving histeresys. Add to this that, in our period (at least the holocene) ENSO impacts immensely more local/regional climates than any "CO2" level (you'll read everywhere trade wins "cause" it because the truth of the opposite destroys the corrupt academic stablishment). Since roman empire "mean" seas' level grew some 1-2 cm. Moreover, the temperature stations used to "average" the "global" temperature are located mostly in large cities, with lots of asphalted roads and very few trees, horrible micro climates ("average" thousans of horrible climate and get a "global" "horrible" trend to support the agenda). All said here is published, not thrown out of head, I can bring links in to all points to anyone but simple questions to chat gpt asking for links to them will bring in as well easily. In summary there's nothing we can do to ameliorate than having more concreted roads and trees in cities…

Why bother is the logical solution, I mean I 'd rather burn coal and have a normal life now than be scared that London will get swamped in 100 years or even in 2 years; I mean I really do not care about London, so whay not burn coal?
well if you can't point out where these tipping points are, you are basically just saying a whole bunch of nothing, besides that temperatures will rise anyways as we are atm at the end of an ice age…. polar ice will melt, if for humans or not
We have all been subjected to psychological manipulation by the government and the media for years. Most people aren’t even aware of how it has affected their thinking. How it works is this: If you come up with enough solutions to the alleged problem, such as carbon credits, carbon capture and storage, Paris agreement etc. people will take it as read that the problem must exist. For this to work the climate change sceptics have to be censored in the media. The same tactic was used with Covid. The masks, contact tracing, social distancing, PCR and lateral flow testing, working from home etc. led people to believe that the disease was far more serious than it really was. This increased sales of the Covid jab. Since belief in the “climate crisis” has not been put there by reasoned argument, reasoned argument cannot take it away. Someone has made a fake film in which Al Gore confesses that the climate crisis is a scam. It is possible that an idea put there by D.I.P. First off, NO ONE denies climate or that climate changes; there are no "climate deniers".
Secondly, since the atmosphere is NOT warming faster and hotter than the earth's surface, co2 is not driving the warming trend on the planet surface. Q.E.D.
If there are tipping points why then during Holocene optimum these were not triggered even though it was warmer than today?
Asa physicist you know that CO2’s effect has reached the saturation state . You also know that water plays a much bigger role as GHG.

Here’s the thing 30,000 years ago apparently we had a ice age from climate change told from reputable scientists , well how many cars,trucks,trains and planes caused that one oh no answer well here’s a thought do you really think you can control a volcano,hurricane, tsunami,tectonic plates from moving Mother Earth will do what she wants this bullshit about carbon taxing from the government is nothing but pure robbery from the people to enrich themselves and more corrupt control 😎✌️
