NASA is projecting sea levels along the United States coastlines could increase by as much as a foot by 2050. A majority of people in New Jersey’s 2nd Congressional District, which includes Atlantic and Cape May counties, have concerns.

That is building for 10 years ago. You want sea barriers to have a chance start aiming for 25 foot. We are seeing storm surges that are 23 – 25 feet now. Most coastal communities in the Gulf of Mexico and on the East coast are one big hurricane at High Tide from seeing 3rd floors start to flood in hotels like we saw in Houston before we moved to Vermont. This isn't coming 30 years down the road it is here now. They just haven't had to endure the 1 inch per hour rains that are more and more common for 8 to 12 hours like so many communities around the globe have experienced from Romania, Russia, India, Pakistan, Poland and many more countries. Just wait a week and another one will happen somewhere. We moved from Texas because we were tired of living through Hurricanes after 50+ years. Our home in Vermont was missed by 6 feet from being washed away like the neighbors across the street from us. The problem is there is no such thing as an infrastructure that can handle the amount of rain that now falls per hour for 8 to 12 hours at a time. When the 500 and 1,000 years storms start arriving now 1 to 6 weeks apart: Then Climate change is already here. It is too late. it only takes 8 hours for an ankle deep 10 foot wide brook to become a 10 foot deep and 250 foot wide raging river that is eating houses and bridges that have been here for 150+ years. The corrupt politicians and billionaires are "debating it" while we are living, and in some cases dying, in it. Regular people are losing everything while the Politicians take all expense paid trips, get bribes and move to high ground while doing absolutely nothing all thanks to their billionaire "friends".
