There is only one real action to make in order to avoid to destroy our planet, it is to voluntary consume less than what Earth can regenerate. Is human can do it voluntary? Unfortunately I strongly doubt it, therefore we will keep on undergo all the environmental problems including climate change until it is not possible to adapt to these catastrophes and then the society will collapse in a dramatic chaos. Diseases and famines will be everywhere.
