Climate change is real, and it is dangerous. Some people are actively trying to stop it. Others deny or intensify it – or suppress information. Most don’t bother at all and continue to contribute to global warming through their lifestyle.
Anja Windl from Germany is a climate activist with a group called “The Last Generation.” They take dramatic action in order to draw attention to climate change. Time and again, they have glued themselves to streets, defaced works of art and private planes, or loudly disrupted events. In Anja’s opinion, politicians, business leaders and the majority of citizens in affluent Germany are all failing to do enough to combat climate change. Yet the country is a major contributor to global warming, Anja says.
For Thorsten Alsleben, the activities of climate activists are nonsensical and even dangerous. The managing director of the “Initiative New Social Market Economy” – a lobbying organization founded by German industrial companies – does not deny that climate change exists. However, he warns against governmental policies that stifle Germany’s economic strength. In his opinion, the free market and a carbon tax will serve to ensure companies produce in more climate-friendly ways. Moreover, he says, Germany only contributes around 2 percent to greenhouse gas emissions – much less than front-runners China or the US.
Some 9,200 kilometers away from Germany, 38-year-old Anto Purnomo takes his boat through the mangrove forests of Langsa, in the north of the Indonesian island of Sumatra. He makes his living by felling mangroves and selling the wood. Mangroves bind CO2. But more importantly, the plants are key to coastal protection and home to valuable ecological systems, countless fish, and other marine animals. He knows about climate change, but he has to feed his family.
Taufik Hidayat, on the other hand, is trying to stop the deforestation of the mangroves. He knows how important they are for the people and nature of the coastal regions. If sea levels continue to rise due to global warming, the mangroves can at least provide some protection. The 24-year-old works for the NGO Indonesian Coastal Conservation Foundation in Langsa, Aceh. His father, a crab fisherman, already warned him about of the dangers to locals if the mangroves continue to disappear. Taufik is aware that everyone has to fight climate change in their own way. But he also knows that people in the wealthy industrialized countries have a special responsibility.

Climate change is real, but they are making it worse. I wonder if they are controlled opposition, manipulated by oil companies to discredit the climate change movements.
Fighting against nature is stupid, the planet will do the same thing it has done since it´s formation, recycle EVERYTHING, the planet isn't in danger the species living on it, that is another issue, and nothing can stop it, figure out how to adapt or get recycled, simple.
There are so many things that greedy futurists think they need. There's a stark difference between futurism and greedy futurism. Greedy futurism leaves no room for family or community in houses that are empty. But our generation's challenge will be teasing out what's important from what's clearly greedy, excessive, and damaging in the long run.
"CO2 is food for trees" (and plants) is true, but CO2 is also the main driver of climate change, which can trigger larger methane emissions from permifrost thawing. We are all experiencing more extreme weather events, to deny that is to deny reality, and this is all driven by climate change.
The cost of denial, of ignoring the issue will crush the global economy long before modern life collapses, we are starting to see this in the insurance industries. It will just get worse until the whole economic model we run the world in will break. Being a billionaire will mean nothing, your wealth will be useless in the world we are creating.
The U.N. started this when they said the Earth is in natural balance and only the activities of humans are changing it. They instructed the IPCC to study only how humans have affected the climate. This is a dynamic planet and change is the natural order and you ignore nature at your peril. It is impossible to measure the effect that humans are having if you do not know what the natural effects are. Measurements have demonstrated that the earth is warming but we do not have any idea why

It's that overpopulation that drives our excessive consumption of resources. What's not clear in that?
Government and all institutions should be agnostic on linear, economic growth such as GDP. Global north should creatively finance global south, for example Indonesia. Our mother earth doesnt care which countries produce emission. The investment should be devised to prevent further deforestation, mangrove restoration, sustainable, regenerative fisheries and agriculture, sustainable tourism, public transportation, etc. It should employ a broad base of grass root, mid to lower income, and women.
The people of Indonesia especially young generation should develop communication to build resilience, skills and capacity to anticipate the transition and the world which would be totally different from today.

I really hate this type of propaganda. Climate is always changing. In some areas temperature is rising. In Tenerife where we live the temperature trend has nee NEGATIVE since 2016. The natural cycles will soon make it colder for 30 – 50 years. 😊
The “skeptics” usually fall into one of two groups:
1- millionaires that benefit from the status quo, or their lackeys, who value their profits more than the survival of all life in the planet.

The suit claims "we must do something to help protect the climate but in a way that doesn't jeopardize the country's economic foundation"… The economic foundation of global systems is what has driven the growth that causes fossil fuels to be burned. We can all have good fulfilling lives without the absurd waste of fossil fuels on "hungry ghost" consumption. Of all the inputs to our economy, energy is the largest and most important but it is not part of economic models. To operate the human economy for a single year, we use about 100 billion boe [barrels of oil, equivalent] of fossil carbon and hydrocarbons. Energy and GDP are over 99% correlated. However they forget about Biology 101 – plants breath in carbon dioxide and output Oxygen. In the Triassic period, the carbon dioxide levels were four times higher than today. So more carbon dioxide, more plants that keep on getting bigger and bigger. The herbivore dinosaurs used to eat all the plants, got very big, and omnivores and carnivore dinosaurs got bigger too. So is carbon bad for the Earth?. Nooooooo! Climate Change / Global Warming is a big lie. If you want an explanation for inconsistent weather, look into Milankovitch Cycles i.e. how the Earth’s revolves around the Sun changes shape, how the Earth's tilt changes angles, and how fast the vertical axis of the Earth wobbles.. They have the biggest influence on the Earths weather than anything else.
We now live in a world which copies nature. Only the strong will survive. The big industries will reap what thy sow.Only then will they stop doing the things that are causing climate change.Shit happens….

When my wife first suggested that dark matter might be causing global warming I laughed . Dark matter after all should be a constant, I thought. When we began looking at the data I stopped laughing. Dark matter it seems is not a constant.
Planetary heating is increasing but dark matter is the chicken and Co2 is the egg.
Dark matter phase transitions appear to be a primary internal heater of the planets. If the solar system passes through an area of higher liquid dark matter content the planets cores would all receive more heat due to increased phase transitions thus heating the earth from the inside out. That means if we redirect part of the dark matter circulation of Venus or Earth to Mars we could warm it up. Mars also passes through streams of dark matter headed to every planet capturing slightly more of these would also help. These streams may be more like intermittent clouds going by on a windy day by the time they reach Mars orbit. Redirecting dark matter could warm Mars.
Heating of the planet from the inside out would result in :
Increased ground temperatures
Increased sea temperatures
Increased nighttime temperatures
Increased volcanic activity – Mars lava plumes 09/24
Increased earthquakes – Mars 4.2 earthquake 07/21, 4.7 quake 05/22
We are currently passing through the S1 dark Matter stream which, as it is going the opposite direction around the galaxy was described as a dark matter hurricane. From spring to fall the earth is downstream from the sun. And from July to December the earth is traveling with the S1 stream and from January to June we get our maximum ongoing dark matter exposure as we travel into the S1stream. It would be interesting to see if the upper atmosphere temperatures are lower in the spring than the fall due to more incoming dark matter. There have also been peer reviewed papers that discuss dark matter annihilation(or in my hypothesis phase transition)heating the earth from the inside, they did not mention any impact to climate change or the S1 dark matter stream.
We may also be subject to surges of dark matter which mean heat at the surface and cool in the upper atmosphere just before.

May 2022 mars crosses the dark matter stream to Saturn
May 4, 2022 a 4.7 magnitude Marsquake occurs due to tectonic activity.
March 26 2024 the Parker Solar Probe began its lap around the sun on April 4 it came out on the other side of the sun to start back towards Venus. In between it was actually inside of the Alfven Limit which is where I believe the surface of the dark matter sphere that surrounds the sun lies. This would be the equivalent of a speed boat sending a wake towards the earth.
April 11 mercury and earth are in an inferior conjunction which would also send a bit of extra dark matter in earths direction.
Mid June 2024 multiple heat waves.
Venus atmospheric temperatures from 2009-2017 also were higher after conjunctions and the atmospheric wind speeds have increased by 33% probably due to the increase in incoming dark matter.

If the dark matter spin off to the sun happens every 5 days on average and coincides with the wave facing the sun it may be proof of dark matter. During conjunctions if the tsunami is facing earth we get an extra surge of dark matter heading to the earth which also affects the time it takes for the tsunami to circle Venus. The gravity well fills up and dumps back to the sun but if it fills faster due to a conjunction it can spill toward the earth resulting in higher temperatures about 60 days later. The streams of liquid dark matter are constantly overflowing the suns dark matter sphere which extends to the Alfven radius. This distance varies dependant on how much dark matter reaches the point at which it vaporizes. (Velocity/gravity/temperature)

The idea that a future innovation will save us is a dangerous way to justify inaction. The effects we are talking about are irreversible. Once the permafrost and major ice sheets begin to thaw/melt we have runaway warming. These changes are happening so quickly that plants and animals, including us, won’t have sufficient time to adapt to the hotter earth we are careening towards. We NEED to act now and everyone needs to put pressure on our politicians and make changes in our personal lives to reduce our carbon footprint.
Climate change is as obviously true as the fact we are NOT going to stop it. The lobbyist in the video should just be ignored as a paid merchant of doubt. Note to Last Generation, irritating regular folk with protests is likely to hurt your cause and do very little to help it, you just harden their stance against the cause in most cases. Finding a more effective way to protest seems a better way forward, maybe disrupting/taking over local, regional and national political processes. All these COP's and IPCC reports, NGO climate organizations and of course "GREEN ENERGY" are a great new neo liberal market niche though!
