I love this channel so much. It is profoundly depressing, but it puts things into perspective. My kid may be failing school, but coral reefs are dying at an unprecedented rate. Israel and Palestine are murdering each other’s people, but the Lungs of the Earth are burning.
More forests burning means more cattle land. What can go wrong?
This is the problem with just planting trees, they burn. Especially in areas people don’t have ready action fire department with natural fire breaks. I would recomend packing as many trees in to suburbs and cities as possibles. Those at least never burn.
I knew the increase in wildfires was going to accelerate global warming beyond current climate models, but this is even worse than I thought. Global action is needed now, but our leaders' short-sighted capitalistic nature won't allow that 😢
