  1. That’s true I m from Croatia by the sea and all my life the sea is being exploited by Al fishermen and sport fishermen, in our place there is a fish but very little on just some species Before like 20 till 25 years it was much better , blue fish exist like tuna and other fish but reff smaller fish is disappearing and there is a pollution on the all sides because most the cities and places in Croatia don’t have any infrastructure for cleaning waste and water that’s why future doesn’t look promising

  2. The real danger to the Mediterranean sea is the overfishing and unethical trawler fishing practices allowed by the EU, France and Spain are destroying the Mediterranean. Its hiddous whats happening, as not all countries along the Mediterranean are part of the EU yet they have to suffer because of the EU.

  3. I hope governments and everyone will realise soon that the massive dumping and polluting of the seas and oceans is not only killing off the eco systems and their chains but also massively contributing to world climate change. With the density, salinity and polluting particulates rapidly completely changing the way evaporation takes place as well as how the flowing of the seas due to how they are cooled and heated by the sun and atmospherics. With the worlds seas and oceans degrading rapidly to pollution and bottom scraping, it may be more vital that they are as critical or even more so than the atmosphere at this time.

  4. Oh no! The climate is changing?? That's awful.

If only Ice Core data shows that the climate has been in constant flux for 500,000,000 years. FOR HALF A BILLION YEARS AT LEAST, EARTH'S CLIMATE HAS BEEN CONSTANTLY CHANGING.

I wish the drama of this would stop. Yes, I know humans pollute, and yes we need to take better care of the planet. But seriously, stop the drama BS and get more people on board with just cleaning up after themselves.

Parts of Earth that are now desert were once lush wetlands or oceans. Go look up about the Green, Wet Sahara. A lush green wetland only 12,000 years ago.

Yes, the climate changes – that's what it's been doing

  5. Here on the States is why Hurricanes and Tornadoes come on shore with no real barrier to coastal communities. We haven't seen anything yet if we think it can't get worse. Plus, waters are so much warmer. Perfect for elevated whirlwind punch.

  6. Lived on Pacific still 6° off the Equator 98°F lagoon pristine corals and a billion tropical fish make your eyes ache. Went to Great Barrier Reef colder waters needed a dive top, agriculture runoff, sewage, pesticides, typhoons, what a waste of $. Sulawesi jungle mangroves hot water millions of coral most dazzling fish. LOOKED-FOR ANTI-SCIENCE ALL ABOUT CARBON TAXES!

  7. if human greed is to blame then why waste resources and money on such environmental destruction! Its elected officials and local business people that at responsible. But they just get away with it and spend the money right in front of the activist or people who want to protect the environment. Cycle of life is real and death is inevitable.

  8. The pollution will be sorted out in like 10 years. I have seen how countries that get richer manage to do. Even now my city is adding new rain water runoff system, preventing it going to communal sewage and overflowing. If the lights turn out to be a problem, great even now I just drove through a street where the lights turn on just as the cars drive through or people walk by. Croatia is close to western EU standards already, it can sort the problems I believe it.

However, no single country can solve climate change. Sea deserts are a consequence of it. It is probably what causes more damage, too. Climate change battle looks promising, especially in the EU. However, sadly the EU isn't the World. So while 2050 net 0 looks achievable in EU, it looks impossible when looking at the World.

  9. I was diving in the Mediterranean in the 70s, and it was already a desert. Why? Because it was fished out, which had a domino effect and all the species were either dead or gone. I doubt it was climate change, but it hasn't benefited the Mediterranean.

This problem is not solely related to climate change.

  10. It’s way too late to discuss solutions now. Time the planet pays back to human species in kind. Those with children have to see the worst suffering as their loved ones walk into the abyss of unknown but certainly not a good destination.

  11. The changes I've seen in the Mediterranean Sea during the past few decades have crytallised for all to see in 2024, if they want to. 30ºCelcius to 31ºC in 2024 are failitating a new environment not conducive to the life in the ecosystem as we have known it. It's sounding the alarm for us all.
