Question is not why which is obvious (in the name) but – how does it exist?
Nothing can "save us from disaster" unless we address the size of the world's population. The chemicals used to produce half of the world's food rely on petrochemicals, and their production produces damaging emissions. To become sustainable agriculture needs to move away from artificial chemicals and stop practices that degrade land. For that to happen, the size of the global population needs to be what can be fed properly – and that is far fewer than the current 8 billion.
Just think what else is really down there 🤔🤔🤔
