‘Enormous opportunity’: Tim Ayres on Australian steel being used for the net zero transition

Assistant Trade Minister Tim Ayres says hundreds of thousands of tonnes of steel is required for the Australian wind sector.
As part of the Albanese government’s Future Made in Australia, there is now a plan to use Australian steel for investments into new energy infrastructure with a focus on regional communities.
“This is an enormous opportunity for Australian business and Australian workers, particularly in regional Australia,” Mr Ayres said.

Knocking down hectres of trees to build "net zero" products with coal and mainly importing manufactured products from china who produce more emissions because of our heavy reliance on them as manufacturers. Only winner in net zero are china. Not us. Build base load power and plant trees.
