Extreme snowfall envelopes Nagaland, raising concerns among social activists about its impact on the local population. They worry how these weather extremes will affect the people and the planet at large.
This film is a part of ‘Stories from the Ground: Northeast,’ a new film series by The Habitats Trust and Dusty Foot Productions, featuring 50 shorts by local filmmakers that celebrate the culture, traditions, and biodiversity of the region.

The Habitats Trust (THT) was co-founded in 2018 by Roshni Nadar Malhotra, Chairperson of HCL Tech and Shikhar Malhotra, Director, HCL Corporation. Both of them are Trustees of The Habitats Trust. The Trust aims to conserve and restore ecological functionality as a pathway towards human well-being. It works with a special focus on the conservation of lesser-known species and habitats that are threatened, but often neglected and are in urgent need of conservation attention. THT works in 26 states and union territories across India with 100+ partners on ground. Over the years, THT has produced over 190 films which highlight local conservation heroes, along with shining a spotlight on lesser-known species and habitats.
