More news is coming out that some of these fires were started purposely so to blame this all on climate change is a bit of a farce

Emma demands zero accountability from the clown car of leaders that botched this situation, and more broadly, turned California from the envy of the country, and even the world, 30 years ago, to a decaying laughingstock riddled with crime, homelessness, and crumbling infrastructure.
State farm analysis is incorrect. The problem is california requires insurers to look back several years to justify their proposed premium increases. In an environment that is rapidly worsening historical data does not represent future insurance losses. So instead of setting premiums that would not cover what they pay out insurers are deciding to leave the state.
Any private industry that operates on the scale of national infrastructure needs to be nationalized. The profit motive must be removed and it retooled to serve as a for prosperity function of American society.
I.e. the post office

The fire was started most likely by a homeless bum smoking crack and there's no water because the river is diverted away from southern California.

Was LA prepared for the worst case scenario. Did the leadership do their due diligence.? If I was city leadership I would have been obsessed with preparing for an event like this. I’m on the left..but I can’t stand when the left won’t critique leadership. I have one Question. Was the City prepared for worst case scenario? Be Honest be very fuckin Honest. Make a checklist of things that LA needed to do to be prepared. I’m not a firefighter but I can think of several things. Clearing brush and undergrowth around all the community, access to plenty of water. Enough manpower. Was the fire department funded adequately? The biggest threat to US populations is not foreign bombs but natural disasters. Question. Was it funded appropriately.? We can talk till we’re blue in the face about climate change, insurance, big oil etc. of course those need to be dealt with.. but was the city prepared or bought with their pants down. I don’t care if they are Men or woman in charge. They need to be held accountable. If they didn’t do their job, time to fire them.

the terrible media coverage and social media coverage is the worst part. this is the wet season, the mushroom season in that area. but this year it has not rained for months during the WET season. for media to blame anything other than climate, and for individuals to blame anything but climate shows they are entirely alienated from nature: to the point they can't look out the window and remember what seasons are like.
