  1. It is constantly amazing how climate activists carry on about the latest report saying there will be no ice by year XXXX or the oceans will eradicate islands etc. Those dates pass and we're all still alive. Again. What is more amazing is that there are imbeciles who blindly believe everything these clowns say.

  2. The "scandals" you mentioned at the end lead me to believe that you are in fact the scammer here. So did you not bother to do your due diligence on any of it or do you know the truth behind them but climate denial pays better? I'm betting the latter… Either way, pretty disgusting.

  3. Just cut their funding if they don't do the science properly. Peter needs to be offered the job of chief scientist to the next government. Then we might see some honesty in the advice to government.

  4. I know from my schooldays that nothing in science is ever settled. There are hypothesis and these can be tested. I find it hilarious that under any post relating to climate, this platform posts a UN warning that climate change is caused by man, using fossil fuels. That proves science has been captured. There are no facts. No one can prove we are causing any change in the planets climate. Really interesting information, thanks for posting. All these scientific doom scams are always eventually shown for what they are, lying funding grabs.

  5. Curveball. But I do agree reseach should be done correctly.
Could it be that because of the "hype", attitudes changed, which is now helping coral.
The real story is fossil fuels WILL run out, so what to do?
Encourage concern for the environment or have an all out panic.
I used to see two weeks of snow every year as a kid, I can't remember the last time I saw proper snow, so something is changing for my great grandchildren to face!

  6. I've had 50 + yrs of doom mongers , and there answer to the problem is always the same, more taxes , another alleged catastrophic event looming. Just a little more tax there nothing but consistent

  7. When the GBR was assessed it was done by flying over the reef at a height that you could not see the state of the reef.
Tourist companies in areas that were told the reef was dead complained because they were getting cancellations. Yet they dived on the reef daily and did not see what was reported.
The report that showed the massive decline was completely wrong and criminal charges should have been laid against these idiots.

  8. Corals are affected by warm, cold, cyclones, pollution and I dare say, ipcc climate alarmists wanting to spread their fear porn.

Dr Peter Ridd is another beacon of truth in the 'Great Climate Con'.

  9. Be proud Australia! For a time your Great Barrier Reef was the poster child for CAGW (yes, I'll call it warming "something" as long as the metric for it's worsening is "rising Average Global Temperature"). The reef replaced the debunked "Mann's Hockey Stick", and is in turn replaced by Extreme Weather Events (no, weather hasn't gotten worse, just rising insurance claims) and no, named storms don't damage more things, the bar for naming storms were just lowered.

  10. HERESY – HOW DARE YOU DISAGREE WITH THE NARRATIVE with the truth? Here's $25mil, go and prove the narrative if you know what's good for you, your career and your organisation…………

  11. SEARCH FOR: "Semantic Scholar Glacier and lake-level variations in west-central Europe over the last 3500 years". During Roman times, the Alps had virtually no glaciers, while in 1859/60 they reached their maximum size of the past 3500 years thanks to the Little Ice Age.

  12. Thank you for doing this work and for making this video. The big science institutions (around the world, not just in Australia) are a complete disgrace. Very, very sad because in the end it will undermine people's faith in science.

  13. @5:21 "They effectively changed the sampling method for the date between 1570 and 1990 and the data between 1990 and 2005 by changing the types of coral they were sampling." "Especially with the rather strange statistical analysis they used".

Sounds like AIMS learned a thing or two from Michael Mann. Bristlecone pines anyone?

  14. ЁЯСМ Science joined with politics can all too easily degenerate into superstition. That's what has happened with faux climate change "science." What the U.N. says is all about POWER and not TRUTH or FACT!

  15. Corals formed at least 500 million years ago. Global temperatures have hit 36 degrees in that period so the current global average temperature of 15 degrees seems hardly something to worry it. Reefs had their bad times for many reasons but bounced back. Just looking in a copy of the Natural History Museum book 'The Great Extinctions'. It in its 'Causes of Extinction' it starts with global cooling with no global warming title. Given how cool Earth temperatures are now with ice sheets still around and sea levels well below historic highs difficult to see temperatures are a threat to life. I suspect the fear of the drowning of poorly sited cities and loss of real estate is the primary driver of all this obsession with climate change. This is from wealthy groups of jet setters and super yachters who are not known for interest in anything outside of their personal asset portfolio.

  16. The problem is that this scientist is going up against bumper sticker arguments. "Fossil Fuels Destroy Coral Reefs!" fits on a bumper sticker and wins mindless followers. But this man needed ten minutes to explain why the bumper sticker is wrong. It's not his fault that most people are idiots unwilling to focus on details and are thus easy prey for the activists. And those activists, in many cases, don't care so much about fighting climate change but rather just want to destroy our capitalist economy because they would prefer a world where everyone is equal.

  17. So the floods, typhoons, tornados that I am hearing about daily, are nothing at all to worry about? Well, I don't worry. I'm 84 and won't be around when the shit really hits the fan, but I do worry about my little granddaughters future.

  18. It seems like climate science has become a career for those involved based on getting funding. But you have to be on board with the narrative to get the funding. It is a recipe for confirmation bias and bad science.
