i probably would not survive – would want to go out in the beginning and get everything over with, kind of like a nuke attack (probably because I am fat/old/bald and really do not care anymore).
Growing up during the 1960s-1970s, disaster movies concerning the depletion of the Ozone Layer were plenty. Most of those movies delt with the sun's radiation cooking the brains of various animals and making them more aggressive than usual. Back then plenty of dumb crap about that was being reported on the daily news – kind of like the dumb crap being reported in the "modern" world.

With communication networks all compromised I’m pretty sure anyone living in New Zealand wouldn’t even know anything happened for 6-8 months.
Living just a hop, skip and a jump south of 54N, I would expect to die from my home collapsing on me from the weight of the snow or possibly carbon monoxide poisoning or exposure when the wood stove’s chimney was covered.
The pioneers survived.the Amish survive today.its people being to lazy to work they would steal or kill to get what they want.
