  1. I don't think that there is really any threat at all from carbon dioxide or global warming – the earth has seen much higher levels of CO2 and we're actually still coming out of the last ice age. What I really find terrifying is these insane climate zealots that want to try and stop the natural cycles and processes of the planet.

This insane idea from the Sea Life Centre really does sound like it could result in yet more sea death than anything else we have yet seen.

This is almost almost as insane as people wanting to release aerosols of tons of tiny aluminium particles into our upper atmosphere to block out part if the heat and light of the sun. And this just when they have trying to get everyone to use solar panels depending on the light from the sun. And no matter how high they put it what goes up has a tendency to come down, and aluminium is rather toxic to life in general. In pretending to solve a problem that seems to be based on models more than fact, they are threatening to poison the earth with something far worse.

  2. Meanwhile, back in the real world, it has been an unusual chilly spring, and Europe's gas reserves have bottomed out. Recent snow in Moscow and Kiev are additional signs of the approaching ice age. Brr!

  3. Sounds like Miliband will be throwing a few £zillion at this “save the planet” venture.
I wonder if the Nobel organisation gave an annual prize for saving the planet, if so I begin to realise Milibands enthusiasm

  4. I remember being about 6 or 7 years old at school, and the whole class had to watch a propaganda programme on the television about the coming ice age. How, within out lifetimes, the planet would be covered in ice and many would freeze to death.

  5. "increasing the amount of low-carbon water could have some impact on the environment. It might be damaging but there might be ways to mitigate that"
We mitigate emissions by damaging the oceans and then we mitigate the oceans and damage…? Insane is only the prelude.

  6. It was the Ozone layer when I was young, then Global warming, when that didn't come to fruition they changed the name to 'Climate Change'. Genius really as you can't deny the climate with change with the seasons.

  7. SIMON: Was not this same process – "which dumps all other considerations, including common sense" [02:00] – also seen at work during 'The Johnson Years' of covid-19? "Experts" (all, since ennobled!) provided advice to a Prime Minister who lacked the common sense to ask simple questions (or knew full well that the whole thing was a scam from beginning to end).

  8. Professor Tom Bell (Richard Feynman: "Never confuse education with intelligence, you can have a PhD and still be an idiot") is young enough that when it is all revealed as simply wrong science, he will regret his appearance on the internet VERY much. His grandchildren will be able to read what a bellend he was.

  9. It's just an experiment to slightly reduce the carbon in a tiny fraction of seawater. They're not removing all the carbon from the entire ocean or anything.
