  1. Remember "Climategate". Just trust the science, because we are the carbon they want to reduce. Isn't it funny that all of those globalist elites have all bought mansions by the sea. Do some research into the climate scandal and you will find a completely different perspective on climate change.

  2. If Covid was good for anything it allowed the planet to breath and showed what it was like not have vehicular ICE polluting the world. Now the lockdowns are over it’s back to normal and people have just got back in their cars.

Reducing vehicle traffic is the easiest way to reduce our carbon emissions. But it’s like peeps are addicted to their cars even for short journeys of 5m or less.

Giving up road space for bikes and
Microbility would help. Not having millions of people clogging up roads to
Get to work and getting our children to walk and cycle to school also. But that means putting in more LTNs. But it’s like asking Turkeys whether we should ban Xmas.

We are unlikely to convert 41m + vehicles into EVs anytime soon especially with the lack of charging infrastructure and still needing to burn gas to produce the electricity to run them.

  3. Let's not be mistaken, the Anthropocene extinction is currently in force and cannot be stopped. A very good indicator for how close humans are to self-destruction is the global atmospheric carbon level measured in ppm. At the moment we are at 430ppm, the most recent extinction event, the Cretaceous–Paleogene extinction event happened at an estimated 800ppm. Please note well before 800ppm, we will have already started recording pockets of mass human deaths directly caused by climate change just like you can see today but on a bigger scale. At the moment, we have crossed the climate tipping point, this means that for each 1ppm of manmade greenhouse gases released you get far more additional heat because of things like Arctic methane emissions especially thawing permafrost. To keep things simple, I'm predicting that by 2070 the earth as we know it will be uninhabitable due to the environment and a depressed economy as a result of funds being used to fight the inevitable.

  4. Richard, once again you're right on target. I have worked on trying to reduce GHGs in our society for over 20 years. However our economy has an addiction to cheap fossil energy. Every time there's a cloud with a silver lining (e.g. PV renewables) a new storm appears on the horizon (i.e. trumpism). It's really time to focus on climate proofing our cities and society so that we can all (not only the rich) survive the coming changes. A dismal confession.😢

  5. Man made climate change is a hoax. Data that climate scientists publish are altered purposely to keep themselves in jobs. Sorry, Richard, stick to what you really know about. Don't believe a word of these hoaxers say.

  6. Most people don't want to understand that this problem only disappears when we get CO2 emissions down. And even if we don't emit anymore co2 it will take many thousand years till we get CO2 back to preindustrial world.

  7. Winning is about sexual alphas getting their progeny to the fore at all costs. That formula does not take into account that the ecosystem of those progeny gets so badly damaged that they cannot survive. Such parents are oblivious of all other aspects, and such the aspect of environmental survivability is beyond their attentions.

  8. I absolutely agree with you about the impact of climate change and I share your concern. I’m similar age to you so it’s not going to be a major problem to us, but for coming generations it will have huge impacts. Sadly I believe that the pathetic half hearted efforts currently going on to address it are a joke and a travesty. In the UK we haven’t a hope of meeting the all electric targets set by government because we simply cannot build the necessary infrastructure. There is no mention of reducing consumption, EVs are encouraged, instead of improving public transport and reducing car use, in fact all the cars are getting bigger and bigger for some reason. All the consumer goods manufacturing is done for us in the far east where they burn the fossil fuel on our behalf to produce the stuff for us. The Trump regime has now dismissed climate change as a hoax. In UK we have a huge stock of old housing which is extremely problematic or impossible to insulate and the housing which could be insulated is still not being done. We’ve had failed government attempts to role out mass insulation schemes. It’s probable that we will start experiencing power grid outages in the future notwithstanding our failures to meet absurdly optimistic targets.

I’d like to know how there can possibly be any optimism in regard to this looming disaster for humanity. One last observation, when the time comes for vast movements of people from areas of the planet which become uninhabitable, how are we going to deal with that??

  9. The met office announced last year that May 2024 was the hottest on record. Although it didn’t seem hot, it was the hottest because of the night time temperatures. Ah. Well I wasn’t about at night. I was in bed so I wasn’t able to say for certain that the met were telling a lie. It took me a month or two to realise that during May 2024, I kept my thick duvet for sleepy times. Eg. It was cold at night too.
The lies about the planet heating up are so apparent, that it can only be those who have an agenda, that perpetrate them. Make no mistake. The evil affects of this lie, for humanity, are dire.

  10. I don't want to think about any of this, so i'll just pretend that i didn't watch this video and go about my usual day. Everything will be fine with the status quo, I'm sure.

  11. Suggest you read Not Zero for a balanced view from the other side. The earth has had extreme swings of temperatures for millennium. It is not necessarily man made. However, if we export our carbon footprint to China as we do for our we are ducking our responsibilities. We produce only 1% of the CO2. People need to change their consumerism. The govt need to alter their policies to put pressure on the big CO2 producers to reduce their carbon footprint.

  12. That's right Mr. Elephant, we must all blame the rich & turn a blind eye to our ever increasing populations & the continued hopium of alternative pilaging of Mother Nature's finite space & resources forever & ever amen!

  13. Complete alarmism. The global temperature is currently rising by 0.1degC per decade. (We are emerging from an ice age). So in 100 years it will possibly be 1 degree warmer. Will anyone actually notice? You should discount anyone who states that the rate of temperature rise is increasing year by year, this has been proven to be falsified. If you believe that wildfires are caused by climate change you need your head examining. Do you think that a 0.1 degree C increase in the last 10 years is suddenly going to cause spontaneous combustion of brushwood??. Widlfires are caused by carelessness and, often by government policy that prevents or discourages the clearance of brushland. Anyone who states that more extreme weather events are more common simply has not studied the facts. Corals are at an extremely healthy level, to say they are being bleached is scientifically illiterate rubbish. Just utter BS.
