I’m praying for safety to all involved with this storm, earth quake and other extreme problems, ml!
The roof seems to always be the first to go. I ponder if there is a roof design that would make it impossible for wind to shred it. I know they do "tie downs" as part of the building code in Florida, but the shingles get ripped off easily. I live down here in Florida on the west coast, and many have metal roofs. Maybe that is as good as it gets in terms of storm protection. But they are quite expensive.
