We visited Germany a couple of years ago. It was 80F in Frankfurt and much warmer than that in the airport hotel facing the sun, with windows that didn't open.
I called the front desk to tell them the AC wasn't working. They said it worked, but it was only permitted in July & August (this was early September).
I've never seen energy rationing like that anywhere, but driving through the countryside explained why- nothing but turbine blight as far as the eye could see. You had to try to imagine how beautiful it once would have been. Very sad.

These woke politicians need prosecuting
I believe that grifters realized in the late 1970's that the cooling was going to end and the climate was going to warm according to the Gleissberg cycle that was identified in 1939. They knew there was money to be made if they got the right people on board, and here we are today. We are now at the top of the cycle, and the smart money is jumping off because the climate is going to start cooling and there isn't money to be made in that.
Everyone's hungry but they'd rather be cold.
