That is so true! Everyone should always keep at minimum a basic “storm” kit for both winter and tropical seasons. Most camping sections have what you need and have regular sales to help with cost. I have a tote bin for the necessary supplies and then other totes for seasonal clothing and temperature related items. I buy food when on sale and rotate and replenish when needed.
WHAT IS UP WITH THE FEAR MONGERING! There has only been 4 Cat 5’s to hit the US, Katrina was a 3 when it hit Florida, before strengthening to 5 to hit New Orleans. So this 1 out of the 4 has already proved that this guy is lying! Only 4 in the history of hurricanes, this guy is propagating lies to scare people. Many of the cat 4’s slow down before making landfall and often weaken. Stop spreading misinformation! Mad Scientist!
