  1. Dinosaurs inhabited the earth, they did not 'rule' it, having no interceptor probes or deep space telescopes to watch out for the mass extinction size asteroid, to then make any feasible long term proprietary claims, or leave any governmental based fossil record. Humans may leave a plastic speckled strata or the imprint of mobile phones on old river beds. What did the anthropocene era 'mean'? Something to puzzle the less intelligent insects in the future; those keen on pondering unanswerable questions and rhetoric for fun?

  2. This video is all about the effect on people, which is important. What's not mentioned is that this will also impact all living things, particularly warm blooded animals. They generally don't have access to AC ! Unsurvivable means just that.

  3. Total nonsense. This is not science and you ruin confidence in science when you substitute propaganda in place of science. There is not climate problem. Warming is the natural response to the little ice age. We are not going to adopt your political bs over a fake crisis. Move on.

  4. Suggest need not just cultural revolution and Renaissance but greatest need in spiritual evolution of human relations beyond self and family and homogeneous looking group to deeper active consciousness of shared humanity and remembering greater happiness and even productivity in community of more than sports, such as, arts and sense of multicultural neighborhoods and again human connection with greater foundation in human spiritual Renaissance…. A new, needed Renaissance across globe with leaders accepting long term vision role of education, encouragement and government and military need to help people adapt and yes even peacefully migrate because humans especially educated and fully informed leaders failed to accept reality and do their job of service of protection and care. When more accepted and embraced for positive transformation for all on socioeconomic spectrum with leaders have responsibility to communicate And lead. Please soon. And with Renaissance less frightening and more exciting.

  5. If you haven't read "The Heat Will Kill You First" I highly recommend it. Also, the scifi book "Ministry For The Future" opens with a devastating description of a deadly wet bulb heat wave in India. Though it was fiction, it shook me to my core.

  6. Not sure if you have been paying attention. If we can live on Mars, we can live on Earth. Same tech. That said, why are houses built above ground? Dumbest thing I have ever seen. Why are building codes so horrible? Concrete does not BURN! Fire code is a failure.

  7. Curse the top polluters who brought this hell on Earth! Curse you, Saudi Aramco, Exxon Mobil, Chevron, PetroChina, Shell, TotalEnergies, ConocoPhillips, CNOOC, TAQA, and Enbridge. And CURSE the livestock industry (2nd biggest polluter industry), the fashion industry, and the food retail waste industry 🤬

  8. Moving to the now unlivable areas because they too cold will do it but death in process could be massive.
One can argue aid to poor areas to reduce illness and feed more a big cause.

  9. Climate change is real, but as a flea on a dog's butt, we have no choice where things go, we can only prepare for the destination. Redistribution of wealth is not going to change the destination.

  10. Extreme cold is far more deadly. And we should be moving towards another ice age in the Milankovich cycle. CO2 isn't a pollutant. More CO2 = more plants and crops. During the time of the dinosaurs, CO2 levels were 5 times higher than today and there was no ice at the poles. Ice at the poles is the exception in earths history, not the norm. The earth was a warm green paradise when T-Rex walked the earth. Life strives in high CO2 environments.

  11. THIS IS UTTER BULLSHIT. HUMAN BEHAVIOR DRIVES A TINY, MINUSCULE. ALMOST IMPERCEPTIBLE AMOUNT OF CLIMATE……PERIOD. THE ONLY FACTOR THAT DRIVES CLIMATE IS THE SUN. I AM SICK OF THIS BULLSHIT LYING ABOUT CLIMATE DRIVERS AND THEY ONLY WORK BECAUSE MOST PEOPLE WILL NOT LOOK AT ACTUAL SCIENCE.
DO MOST OF YOU UNDERSTAND THAT MOST OF THE SO CALLED SCIENTISTS PUTTING OUT THESE FEAR PORN STUDIES ARE PAID TO DISTORT THE DATA OR TO STRUCTURE THE STUDY IN WAY THAT DISTORT THE FINDINGS?

  12. The reason why so many people died in Paris is because for some reason Europe doesn't like to use AC. When I was there in the 90's I walked into a hotel with all it's windows open in 90 deg summer. I asked the clerk do you guys have the AC on? He said yes but they only turn it on really low. Just enough to cool to 85! 😲

  13. we have installed a heat pump for our 12 flats in an old building (1908) in Innsbruck. The warmth which is taken from the walls, low temperatur radiators or such with feed line on the deepest, return line on the highest point generates warm water for 36 People. Therefore we produce no noise, no hot air in the heat island. 60 Watt pump generates about 4000 Watts warm water heating. It´s perfect. Other solutions bring the warmth into the ground and use it for heating in winter.

  14. Israel and Iran are having a war, when in reality, both places could become uninhabitable in my lifetime. Idiots. Goodbye Promised Land, goodbye going to the Hajj.

  15. Wet bulb. What a stupid name. Please come up with a clearer descriptor. We're trying to convince people Global Warming must be taken seriously.

  16. Remember, the fossil fuel funds huge bot farms that look for videos like this and then the bots descend and write nonsense posts from a preselected list. None of them ever respond to requests for clarification or citations. They aren't real.

  17. Elon Musk wants to develop the methods for people to survive on Mars so that he can sell them to the wealthy when the Earth becomes uninhabitable.

  18. If you can, the best thing we can do is realize the power bill is more than a roof solar + battery system payment. Even if it’s slightly more we all know the rate will go up. Unfortunately the coin operated politicians on both sides are doing everything they can to tax and disincentivize solar in CA.

  19. Let's be honest. Who cares. Since when in the history of the world did humans get so bold that because we paid cash for a place means we… we in the 200 years since we, let's say became us(Morden humans) that we wouldn't need to move from change?.
Also iv worked in recycling plant's. If you cared about the world you'd stop instantly because its literally a lie that only better off people care about because its only about money. If you recycling you made it 10xworse for what you cared about.
    Sorry.
Never mind the heat and the climate bla bla. The dmg to the oceans is what will end us and thats not from anything we can fix inland from anything the public currently doing. Peace x
Everyone could go back to coal, all us and it wouldn't be as bad as what we are currently doing…… breaks my wee heart i can't show yous how bad the good people are trying to do makes it 1000000x worse.
Last point. The poor wee town dieing fron climate change only needs bottled water because a factory up river has poisoned it to death and its your fault for not doing better(they will say). lol. Poor rivers. Poor us.

  20. Those movies/stories about galactic conquest and time travel with amazing machinery? Yup, you've heard of this.
Climate Change; you've heard of this too. Wet bulb as a precursor? That's how I see these things, the absurdity of questioning climate change validity. So? The extremity of our climate change situation is beyond our means? What is this, what is the meaning of this? Beyond our means, hmmm.
The experiments people choose to invest in, or provide spiritual backing for . These experiments dictate our life's path; after the fact. Spiritual experiment.
    Commish

  21. I try to do this thing to combat the dire threat of extreme heat (disproportionately affecting those least responsible for it) called "voting out the vast majority of current US politicians".

  22. It is upsetting that humanity possess the tools to improve life and look at how we destroy ourselves. Too bad. Can't laugh this one off. Hmmm. Wet bulb. So sonic magnetics and natural disasters; right? Now it's not that bad, because of the wet bulb. Various bulbs, without doubt. Access to the menagerie is most certainly based upon spiritual inclusion. This means control becomes a violent issue during the catalyst for this menagerie of natural bulbs. The ozone is/was basically a bulb. So now there are pockets which will act as spawn sites for newer, smaller ozone regions /areas.
    ❤'ing it.
    Commish

  23. More climate fear porn. The bottom line is that the planet is little bit warmer than it was 200 years ago, but significantly cooler than it was at the peak of the Holocene Optimum, roughly 6000 years ago, when sea levels were nine to twelve feet higher than at present.

We are not even halfway through the most intense ice age in AT LEAST 250 million years. We have massive ice caps at both poles and 400 million cubic miles of ocean with an average temperature of around 38 F. We are just a couple of degrees of cooling away from the next glacial outbreak, which will probably begin sometime in the next 1500 years or so and last 100,000 years. The LAST thing we need to be worrying about is a little extra warmth.

You can spend your time worrying about things far above your pay grade, or you can be living your best life. Your choice.

  24. NUCLEAR ENERGY. That is the fastest and most efficient way of providing the base level energy (and demand energy) we'll need to stave off these events affordably. But we've been swayed by unfortunate, non-science-based, public opinion to defer on making this infrastructure and have catered to the fossil fuel industry. Renewables are great but they aren't going to cover our massively growing energy demands. Fortunately (or unfortunately), megacorps are starting up nuclear plants to feed their AI and datacenter needs. Potentially that could help increase nuclear proliferation here in the US and potentially globally. Right now, that's about our only major hope.

  25. Please don't use phrases like 'clean energy' that don't really mean anything. Renewable energy sources also bear a cost toward emissions and are not 'cleaner'. Renewable sources likely will be better in the long term, but their upfront cost is large (Both economic and environmental). This is a huge issue many people have because when they hear someone espousing this miracle 'clean energy' they are immediately off put when they look at comparable statistics in the short term. PBS, do better.
